My, my, look how steamy your burgers are!

Yeap, its official. The burger above looks so yummy I’m going nuts over it.

Starvation has taken its toll. The chef has been gone for almost a week. I just have to wait for another day or two for her to come back. Nutritious food was NOT on the menu for days. Junk food are plentiful. Damn those un-nutritious food! So yummy but not good for your heart, blood cells, organs, eyes, brains, etc.. *you see how it’s taking the toll?*

Well, coffee rocks and 2 days is going past fast.

Wish me luck. @@t <-- crossing fingers

*See what's it doing to me.. it's doing it to you as well..

I'm hungry

Hmm, the all capable chef of the house is gone for a week. I'm hungry, pizza anyone?

Anyway, what do you do when you are hungry? Sometimes I just don't want to eat - although I'm really hungry. I’m just too lazy to feed myself food. Ever met someone like ME? Just like now while I’m blogging, there’s food on the table and I’m VERY VERY hungry. I’m just too lazy to get downstairs and eat. I rather blog than feeding myself FOOD. GOOD FOOD. DELICIOUS FOOD (this is not helping.........).

Hmm, I better eat before I starve myself. Until then, I’ll post a picture of what I ate. Till then, dinner’s on! Ciao!

Oh the HORROR!

I remembered watching Fear Factor on TV where people were eating worms - maggots specifically. Being a fishing enthusiast, I have not use maggots as baits. But I’ve used earthworms before – many many times. The yucky and slithering worms keep crawling all over your finger. And on many occasions while I was hooking the worm on the fishing hook, it splattered gooey worm innards on my face. Eewww!

Hmm, I won’t be posting pictures of maggots. A quick search on Yahoo Images search revealed unappetizing pictures of maggots – not the worm but on indescribable *things/people – too DISGUSTING to describe.

Of course, worms offer a form of protein into our diet and they provide really GOOD amount of protein. In many instances, native people have been eating this delicacy as a part of their diet. For westerners, this is uncommon but for the natives, it is rather described as YUMMY!

I’ve not tried eating worms before, but I praise the brave fellow ‘Americans’ on Fear Factor for eating this yummylicious meal. Good work lads! Good Work!

Coffee and Tea! Which one do you prefer?

Personally, I prefer coffee. Why? Because it's far more addictive compared to tea! And the coffee aroma is simply irresistible. It doesn’t fail to wake me up in the morning! Some people might regard this as smelly, but heck, I love the smell of coffee in the morning and that’s the only thing that can wake me up.

Whenever I think of coffee, I have the feeling of success. Kind of make me feel, success is not a problem, but if the coffee runs out, IT IS A PROBLEM.

But just be cautious drinking this beverage. Over dosage might do you more harm than good. This is a familiar situation as I love to drink coffee. You know that you have had enough when there is dizziness, nausea or feel like vomiting and in some cases the bowl is hyperactive and you will go to the toilet often – primitive signs of over dosage. The cure – drink plenty of water to wash out the caffeine.

On the other hand, researchers have shown that coffee in fact helps stimulate the nervous system and might help prevent Alzheimer’s disease. In fact some beauty care product does include coffee to help increase the metabolic rate of your cells – as a slimming product.

So, drink a cup today! Coffee is great!

Coffee…

Coffee…..

Coffeee……

Tea Anyone?

Tea has been around for centuries. If I'm not mistaken, the first tea was a product of China. They had the best technique and the best tea breed. Even the westerners namely the British were marvel at this beverage. It was traded as an exotic commodity back then – something uncommon.

As we know what tea is at present time, I know tea as ‘Boh’ tea. One of the widely used tea from my country. Homegrown from the backyards – if you consider 200km away in the hilly jungle is the backyard of the city.

When I was young, I substituted tea with coffee. During times when I need the extra ‘kick’ I would put 5 tea bags into the tea pot. The effect - overdose in tea consumption – which is bad! Don’t try this at home kids! I felt sick and nausea and my mouth was dry. The tea was pitch black unlike the normal ‘brown’.

However, tea has good effects. It is known to be a potential bacterial killer – and hence the anti-bacterial face wash was born! I’ve used it many times but it didn’t suit my skin type (I got more pimples).

Also it is known to lower your blood pressure, thus GOOD NEWS for those who suffer from high blood pressure.

So drink tea everyday for good health!

Smoking

Teacher: Who smokes?!
Students: *no one raises hands*
Teacher: Well, well, well, if you raise your hands, I will smoke wit YOU!
Students: *all raise their hands*

I bet YOU, yeah YOU! The person reading this article smoke before, or at least tried before, OR smoked second hand smoke before. More and more people are smoking nowadays, even with the Government promoting multiple campaign to curb smoking. But the STUPID thing is, they still get billions from cig taxes - how much did they put back in to their non-smoking campaign?

I have a confession to make. I AM ONE OF THE SMOKER. Well at least WAS a smoker until I quit. The temptation was high and the influence was tremendous. The person I once loved, was a smoker. Thus the habit was passed on to me. Not until I noticed that my health was degrading, I would still be one of these smokers.

Each puffs, I felt that my lungs were dying. Yeah I'm serious, I DO FEEL something in my lungs. These sensations are enhanced if you are smoking menthol or *sweet fags* - the ones with some herb or something.

Luckily I DID STOP smoking. It was great and the burden on my pocket lifted.

If YOU, yeah YOU are one of these smokers, try this link...

1. Fried Foods That Are Frightening

Deep fried foods are nutritionally bad for you. If you enjoy going to fairs and carnivals, you may well be tempted to eat the strangest of concoctions. It's amazing just what has been thrown into the deep fryer in the name of creativity.

But the only thing you are going to create is havoc with your weight loss diet.

2. Steakhouse Stories That Scare

Your local neighbourhood restaurant or steakhouse may be a Nutritional Nightmare.

Fried onions that are considered a Starter Dish are so full of Calories, Fat, Saturated Fat and with a high Salt content. And to go from bad to worse, the onions are usually served with a sauce that has even more Calories, Fat and Salt.

For the sake of your health, be sure you know your onions.

3. Manufacturers Mislead Many

Foods that are often labelled as healthy are just the opposite. Marion Nestle PhD, MPH a New York University Nutritional Professor in her book ‘What To Eat,' talks of ‘Fruit Snacks' that have absolutely no fruit in them but were just laden with sugar.

Don't believe the adverts, read the labels carefully then decide for yourself if it's right for you.

4. Burgers That Are Bigger and Biggest

Burgers are getting bigger and bigger. Burger King and others are taking a bun and piling on as many as four burgers, plus slices of cheese and strips of bacon. Just one of these burgers will give you more Calories than you should eat if having three meals a day.

If you really do want a burger, try ordering a plain burger. It could be served with a sauce, but it should be on the side not on top.

That will save you eating more Calories than you need.

5. Awful Appetisers

How about a Fundido as a snack before the main meal?

A Fundido is made up of a combination of cheese, pepperoni, bacon and sausage served with bread sticks.

If you are on a weight loss diet, a Fundido is a nutritional no-no.

6. Cakes and Cookies That Are Calorie Clogged

You are tempted to have a square of Starbucks Old Fashioned Crumb Cake to go with your coffee but that little square has 670 Calories in it.

And a piece of Cheesecake has enough Calories in it to make a mess of your weight loss diet, but the Cheesecake Factory adds Chocolate Candy, Mousse etc.

Nice for a treat once a year, but for the rest of the year … DON'T.

7. Diet Drinks That Deceive

High Calorie drinks are so deceptive. They don't need chewing and go down real easy and they don't fill you up. So how can this innocent looking cup of coffee be loaded with 490 – 580 Calories? It could be the chocolate or cream that is added.

To avoid piling on the Calories, order a small size cup of coffee with low fat milk and sweeteners.

8. High Calorie Horrors

When you are out shopping at the Mall you may be tempted by the delicious aromas of coffees, spicy pies and the mouth watering smell of freshly made doughnuts.

But giving in to temptation could mean you may consume a day's worth of Calories in one delicious but none essential piece of confectionery.

Ok I'm being a spoil sport but, for the sake of your health and weight loss diet, you would be better to take along a snack of crackers and nuts or raw veggies. Enjoy.

9. Diet Disasters When Dining Out

Two decades ago, dining out was already beginning to be a disaster for the person who was on a weight loss diet. The menu offered high Calorie foods.

Things haven't improved over the years; in fact they have become worse. On the menu in restaurants are such things as fried macaroni and cheese and cheese fries. Just oozing with fat and packed with Calories.

In order to keep to your diet change into a fluffy bunny rabbit and talk yourself into eating and enjoying salads.

10. Super Sized Servings That Sabotage Your Diet

Have you noticed how it's not just fast food meals that have got bigger? So have bagels, pasta servings, salads and sandwiches. If you go out to a restaurant for a meal, most of the meals on the menu are going to be around 1 000 Calories.

The question to ask yourself is, do I really need this food? As Michelle May MD, author of ‘Am I Hungry?' and ‘What To Do When Diets Don't Work' said, that ‘Once a person indulges in a decadent dessert or monster burger, it triggers the ‘I've already blown my diet, so why bother,' mentality.

Beyond that, May believes, the real horror may be the American mind set about food. We were raised to clean the plate, so we could be rewarded with a dessert, which further enhances our desire to eat sweets and meals without recognition of fullness,' she says.

If you want to keep to your weight loss diet, learn what foods are best for you and avoid the ones that sabotage it.

I am Healthy!

Hmm, I feel uneasy when I read, FatJoe's blog or I am Fat or things like that. People always get attracted to bad news or bad situations – it’s just people! I always hear people saying I am FAT, I’m ugly or I’m not attractive so and so. I’ve seen the movie ‘The Secret’ and read many many books on self-motivation. All I can tell you is, if you start complaining, you’ll most likely end up being as WHAT YOU ARE COMPLAINING NOT TO BE! Isn’t true? Fat people admitting that they are fat and they are still fat 10 years later. Lonely people complaining that they are lonely and STILL are lonely 10 years later. Unappreciated people are still UNAPPRECIATED! Why not change your mindset to I’m slim or I’m beautiful – well at least you are working towards it and instead of working towards what you want not to be. Or my memory sucks, why not try maximizing your memory usage and I bet $100 that you memory will improve?

Well enough rambling. This blog is to create a healthy mind in all of us. Some tips on how to stay healthy by doing the right things, eat right, sleep right, exercise right and things like that.

Last thing for your to keep in your mind – STOP complaining and start having a POSITIVE mindset!
